ArtPrize is an art competition and festival held throughout the city of Grand Rapids, MI. Attendees of this event are encouraged to vote for their favorite pieces via the ArtPrize mobile application. After an elaborate assessment of the current app through a Heuristics Evaluation, it was determined that several functionality and responsive problems frequently occurred. The redesigned ArtPrize app addresses these issues and presents an improved visual design. The app also features a new virtual reality check-in component, a rewards incentive program that provides coupons to local businesses, and easy access to more information about the artwork and its creator. The goal of this redesign is to enhance the experience for the attendee, the artists, and the local businesses.
